APPLIED PARASITOLOGY
Although parasites are natural components of every ecosystem, when they infect humans, the organisms we eat, or species of conservation interest, it may become necessary to control them. A thorough understanding of the ecology of a host and its parasite can inform control efforts, thereby benefitting human health, aquaculture, agriculture, and conservation interests.
